I've tried reinstalling the game, reinstalling Ubisoft Connect, deleting Ubisoft Connect's cashe, updating the graphics drivers on the laptop, uninstalling and reinstalling Easy Anti-Cheat, and none of it has worked so far.

I checked my task manager, which has no sign of the game running at all. When I click to play the game in Steam, it briefly says 'Stop' as if the game is running before then reverting back to 'Play'.
